Wicked: Part One

One of the most successful musicals of all time came to the silver screen in 2024. As a massive fan of the books and musical, I was tasked with leading the development of creative using the theme "Welcome to Shiz University" (the fictional school in Wicked). Working with the studio and food and beverage partners, our team created an immersive experience, where you are always looking at what could be a snapshot of Shiz University. The end result? Some of the highest numbers AMC saw in food and beverage and repeat ticket sales in all of 2024!

Clearly, this was a fan favorite in 2024. The much anticipated theatrical release of a multiple-decade running musical broke ten box office records. The goal was not just to get customers in to see the movie once, but to see it multiple times. AMC worked with Universal Studios to create THIRTEEN separate promotions! Between fan events, limited edition food and beverage items, and promotional gifts with a ticket purchase, we helped bring the Wicked Box office totals to $710B, of which AMC has a 22%-25% US market share.

Drink Options in Oz

Since "pink goes good with green" as Galinda said, there naturally had to be two Movie Feature Drinks for this title: Popular Pink and Gravity Green. From sketch to photo shoot, to final print and digital pieces, managing this concept had me "Dancing Through Life" because it was so fun.
